Coupons

I thought my next blog could be about saving more money.  I am looking for the biggest deals and posting them here so you know what you should stock up on this week.  I will also post a link to all deals incase there is something else you are looking for.  All sales were found on www.KrazyCouponLady.com.

Here is a Wonderful link to tips for coupon beginners!

There are a few things I should explain first.  There are symbols in front of the sale prices used on www.KrazyCouponLady.com.  The first is  this means it is a good time to buy and stock up on a few.  So, get enough to get you guy for like 3 months.  The other symbol is  and it means this is a GREAT price and you should try to get as many as you can for at least 6 months (and longer if it is free and wont expire).

The way the deals are listed is:
  The item
Any reward deals you get for buying the item, limits
Coupons you could use for the item (you can only use 1 Manufacturer coupon per item)
Store coupons you could use for the item (you can only use 1 Store coupon per item)
What you pay, then any "register rewards", "extra bucks", "Up + Rewards" or rebates you would get
Final price you are actually paying per item

Example

Gillette Fusion ProGlide or Venus Razor System $9.99
Buy 1, Receive $5.00 Register Reward, Limit 1
$4.00/1 Gillette Fusion ProGlide Manual or Power Razor from PG 6/5
$2.00/1 Gillette Fusion ProGlide Manual or Power Razor from PG 7/3
$2.00/1 Venus  Razor or disposables razor from PG 7/3
Pay as low as $5.99, Receive $5.00 Register Reward
Final Price:  $0.99

You have to sign up for store loyalty cards at Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid in order to get the best deals.  Most of their best deals give you money back to use on your next purchase at their store.  You only get those rewards if you have a loyalty card.

At Walgreens, the reward is called "Register Rewards".  CVS calls them "Extra Bucks".  Rite Aid calls them "Up + rewards".  These print off with your receipt and can be used on your next transaction.  The thing you have to remember is you pay out of pocket for the item and then get these rewards to use as CASH toward your next transaction.  That's right, they don't count as a coupon!  This means you can buy something, get the reward then buy something else and use a manufacturer coupon, store coupon AND the reward all toward that item!!  This is why it really pays to shop at drug stores!!

We will address grocery stores soon.

I must also say, I believe you save the most when you only buy what you need or will use.  It does not really make sense to buy 20 bottles of Purex at $3 each if you are allergic unless you plan to give them away.  It may be a good deal but if you are like us you are trying to save money from what you are currently spending.  What I mean is if you have a weekly grocery budget of $100 and you want to save money then you would like to see that $100 reduce.  However, sometimes we get caught up in our savings and only pay attention to that number.  If you get $300 worth of groceries for $200 that is awesome but you are still over budget.  So, my goal in couponing is not to just save money but to reduce the spending we already do.  I encourage you to do the same.

I hope this helps!!
